Each monsoon exposes the failures we normalize—flooded streets, choking drains, and a city forced to endure the same cycle.

Come rains,

and the city stands still

in treacherous tyre-deep pools

of murky water

rising under the hammering downpour.

Gutters belch and vomit

our failures

and we wade through them,

year after year after year...
