Wrapped around bones;
Shaking hands;
Torn slippers;
I reach your door.
I am shunned;
Ostracized;
And hungry.
I knock your door.
For care and courtesy.

I am God.

    This made me think of the story of Philemon and Baucis, and their hospitality when the gods came to visit. Nice little piece!

      Just read the story of Philemon and Baucis and I am seeing strikingly similar elements in our traditional stories.

Ripe autumn air’s come to bless. Showering sweet November caress. We could be holding hands and walking, Silent but still talking. Faint glimmer in heart. White winters, no flowers in sight.
