Their fluttering wings
rest
and
flickering imaginations
repose
against the
window.
A flight accomplished.
Exhausted and spent,
now,
supperless stomachs
of winged guests growl.
Double quarter pounder
with cheese,
and brisk iced blend
of
orange pekoe,
sweetened to perfection,
tempts them.
Inside the plush
AC powered restaurant,
incisors gnaw
at the meal,
oblivious
to the fixated eyes
marvelling from
across the window panes
before
the empty pockets,
blur the vision.
The moths must return,
with an unsated hunger,
and try their luck
on garbage cans
which will yield, regardless.
Another flight begins,
with hopes in heart
and dreams in head.

Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe contrast between the first fluttering lines and the later gluttonous ones was great.
A suggestion if I may? You could insert a break or two, and maybe get rid of the capital letters except at the start of a sentence.
Just a thought. :)
Thank you so much Lizy. I really appreciate your advice. I have updated the post and removed the capital letters. I will practice inserting more breaks gradually and hopefully write better posts. Thank you once again.
