The mermaid call

Faint memory
Of
A honeyed voice,
Some syllables,
Mellifluously
Undulating,
An unintelligible
Concoction
Of whispers,
Propelling
To fathom
The abyssal depths,
Impelled
Like
A moth to a flame,
Besotted,
I offer myself
For
Sacrifice,
Swallowing salinity
In supplication,
Consummation
Purging
And
Sanctifying.

  2. Mellifluous, yes! I feel the rhythm of swimming down, down...I just love that "honeyed voice," and how even now, it is all only a faint memory.
