Hope - that stays

Hope
That lasts you through
The toughest of times
Hope
That does not leave you alone
In the middle of dark creepy night
Hope
That puts the contorted today together
Building better and brighter tomorrow
Hope
That shines like a golden ray
In the hours of deep despair
Hope
That can you can hold on to
In the loneliest moments
Hope
That calls for last night study
From Xeroxed notes
Hope
That creates presentations
Just in nick of time saving your job
Hope
That whispers love
At every missed heart beat
Hope
When will finds its way
Hope
That stays

  1. Sometimes hope is all we have to hang onto, but even then, it is that small shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

  4. Nicely done, Ruby! I really like this one. I am not religious (as you know) but I think that hope is more universal than just attached to religion. Hope keeps people going even when the skies are the darkest!

  5. Great post and my favorite line: Hope that puts the contorted today together.
One of my all-time favorite writers, Wendell Berry, speaks about hope a lot and says that people who have given up hope or lazy or have simply stopped trying. Here's a link to a terrific video where he speaks about our need for limits. http://library.arlingtonva.us/2010/05/05/wendell-berry-at-arlington-reads-now-with-video/
