Scorching June rebellion

Big bold drops of rain
On the parched sun-burnt thirsty soil
Vaporizing into a damp spot
With a lingering earthy aroma
To remember
And hopes in cradle to cherish.
Life is but a scorching June rebellion.

  10. Love the aroma of rain on soil. The first time the dust is soaked. Looks cloudy today. Hoping for a shower. Then I hurry up and clean the terrace, strewn with the secrets of plantless pots. Was getting to know earth time for the boys.
