April, the 1st


Towards late evening
When the dark was rushing in
Covering the blue sky in the
Folds of black mink blanket
I risked a call
“Am stuck. Missed the last connecting bus”
“On my way”
Fifteen minutes pass.
I dial again.
“Crossed Nerchowk”
That’s 15kms!
“Don’t come!”
“Got the bus?”
“April, the 1st
Sorry was not much help.
