Now you see us

Now you see us, innocent dolls, playing on swings, breezy, blithe and buoyant. And now you see us, our satchels on our backs, minds toying with algebra, alchemy and archives. You see us now,  setting the worldstage on fire,  skilled, sincere and striking, determined darlings.  And in a blink,  you see us again,  standing on the altar,  blushing beautiful brides.  And now you see us,  managing the mènage, the children, the husband and inlaws,  efficient, effective efforts.  Yeah!  We grow up that fast.  Welfare unto all  Rab rakha

Breathless Haste

I read this prompt in passing and I knew what I had to write - 15 words post for the word breathless .  The post is ready to be shared... For savoring and relishing.  Life is not what we’re chasing. Life is what we’re leaving behind in the chasing. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough Not the hurried, frenzied, breathless haste but to savor  the flavors of a perfect brew. Welfare unto all  Rab rakha

Beyond the myths

Karta kare na kar sake, Shiv kare so hoye, Teen lok nau khand main, Shiv se Bada na koye!!! Bijli Mahadev 🙏🙏🙏 A loud thunderous clap resonates in the dark, dense wilderness between the Mighty Dhauladhar  and the imposing Pir Panjal. Deafening. Piercing.  And while the wild lands are bathing in bountiful blessings, lightning strikes.  A bright flashing bolt.  The Lingam breaks.  Several parts of  the aniconic form of Mahadev, get scattered all over the range. The priest and the faithful find the fragments and plaster them together with clarified butter, salt, ground pulses and roasted gram flour.  The Lingam is restored.  Only to be broken again. Those who have measured time, say this happens once in every twelve years.  Beyond the myths, in the charred walls of temple,  the truth resides.  Welfare unto all  Rab rakha

Somewhere out there

Somewhere out there... A world so transparently beautiful...  Somewhere out there is a beautiful world where blue horses go galloping and red elephants roam around with pride.  Pleasing evergreens grow by the side of mesmerizing rivulets and fragrant breeze blows in breathtakingly beautiful gardens. Feathered friends flitting from branch to branch sing melodious songs.  Palatial houses ring with  peace and tranquility.  Decors are richly studded with gemstones and fine carvings.  Happiness runs in corridors  wearing the anklets of joy.  And those who live there are righteous, virtuous and conscientious,  gratified by the benevolence of Lord Almighty.  Somewhere out there  is such a real beautiful world. Beyond our dreams. Welfare unto all  Rab rakha

The weighing scale of faith

"God does nothing except in response to believing prayer." ~John Wesley The weighing scale of faith In the far far west, the lands of Kabul, lived a retailer, who measured in full.  A man of faith, strong his belief in Thee,  in Thy holy feet, he placed all his plea. And thus he lived with his wife and kids,  refraining strictly from what Thee forbids.  Envious of him, charged for weighing less,  weights were dubious, he landed in mess.  Arrested, he would be thrown in oven hot.  His kinsfolk cried, lamented on their lot.  They prayed in Kabul, in prison cell of fort.  Thee heard their cries at Amritsar court.  Check his weights, ordered the mortal king.  Omniscient Master, Thee knows everything.  Thee plays with offering a devotee brings,  a smile on Thy lips, Thee pulls the strings.  Five copper-pice, Thee juggles with saintly hands,  the weighing scale moves as Thee pulls the strands.  Thee shuffles the...
