Jai ma

The tinkling anklets ring,
marking the arrival of Mahagauri.
The  Navdurga is venerated
for nine auspicious nights.
Nine manifestations of mother,
teach us to
still our mind like a stone,
strive to reach the pinnacles,
challenge the horizons,
revel in the infinity that we are,
tame the wanderlust of our thoughts,
streamlining, balancing, synchronizing them.
She who resides within us
and yet is so beyond,
who is the creation and the creator,
who cares for
the infinitesimally small atoms and
the immeasurable galaxies equally,
who advocates fairmindedness,
who imparts skill, spirit and sensibility,
who bestows abundance and prosperity,
may she Bless us.
All the time zones, all light,
all our emotions, all life, all creations,
the energies that sustains the cosmos,
the strength, transformation, anger,
beauty, compassion, fear, and power,
everything blends into her.
Like saplings,
planted in fertile soil,
may we grow and prosper,
nestled safely in the bosom of Adishakti,
so tender yet so strong.
Jai ma. Jai Jai ma.
