Oh! And I can imagine her.
Dressed in a checkered shirt and jeans.
Sitting on a black ergonomically designed chair,
with cushioned shamrock green seat,
her head buried in
some thick weather-beaten file,
with dusty and damaged cover,
and pages permanently curled up.
A heap of such voluminous folders
strategically arranged
in a red 10*8 office basket,
placed to her right for easy access.
Then there’s sheaf of papers stacked on her left,
which are to be dealt on priority.
Kind of to-do list for the day.
And somewhere on this little beige wooden platform,
that she likes to call her workstation,
she finds space to fit in
the sanitizer, the stationery holder
and her thermo-steel water bottle.
There are many windows open
on her desktop screen.
Clearly multi-tasking,
Finishing this, finalizing that,
getting many things done simultaneously.
Handling a phone-call with one hand,
replying to an e-mail with the other,
her face determined but soft,
her mind set on current reference.
The distinct rhythm of printer,
the ringing phones here and there,
the monotonous hum-drum of office,
and in between all of this,
I cross her thoughts.
Randomly.
Just like that.
You know…
May be.
