The Barsela

The word megalith transports me to my home town...to the Barsela right next to my house. The heritage monument that I had described in my post... I live near "Barselas" way back in 2011...

Today the word megalith takes me home:

And my pen scribbles :

Down in the valley,

in the outskirts of small township,

by the side of gurgling Suket,

the megaliths,

the Barselas,

watch our stories unfolding.

The remnants of royalty,

sentinels of time.

Their eyes fixed,

gaze, eternal,

bodies, weathered,

expressions, unwavering

but their spirits breathing.

Slow, strained breath of senescence.
